INFORMATION ON FEE WAIVER

The application processing fee may be waived for applicants who are:

1. Unemployed and primarily responsible for the support of a household

2. Eligible for Medicaid

3. A Volunteer member of the Suffolk County Emergency Response Team (CERT) and a Suffolk County Resident

4. Receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Payments

5. An Officer or Member of the Suffolk County Auxiliary Police

6. Certified Job Training Partnership Act/Workforce Investment Act eligible through a state or local social service agency

7. A Veteran released from active military duty and a Suffolk County Resident

8. Receiving Public Assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families/Family Assistance OR Safety Net Assistance)

9. A Member in Good Standing of a Local Fire District or Ambulance Company and a Suffolk County Resident

All claims for the application fee waiver are subject to verification.
