Housing Support

Safe, consistent, and affordable housing is important for people in substance use recovery. Access to this environment allows people to focus on other parts of recovery, like employment, and improving relationships with friends and family. Agencies have expanded their sober living facilities to increase access to housing for people in recovery. They have also provided scholarships to help people access safe and supportive housing.

Supportive Community Transportation

Part of recovering from substance use involves moving back into independent living and participation in community life. Having access to transportation can help people out of isolation, and support this transition. Agencies are providing transportation for people in recovery to support their recovery goals. This includes transportation to job interviews, recovery events, Social Services appointments, court or legal requirements, and self-help meetings, and other needed community resources.
